I am posting Day 20 of the challenge a day
early because of the AFC Championship game between
the Baltimore Ravens and the New England Patriots,
which starts in about an hour this evening.
I am guessing you won't have any trouble
figuring who I am cheering for...
'Shalt the New England Patriots win the
AFC Championship tonight, I implore!'
Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'
GO PURPLE!
All of my paintings for this Challenge will be done in a 6 x 6 format,
and my main goal while painting from life
is to LOOSEN UP and USE MORE PAINT...
something which will only benefit my work.

I love Ravens - but the animal kind. This one is so great! Good luck on your football watching, mine was ruined last weekend. Oh well, can't win em all.
Love your raven!
I knew the Ravens would win! And your raven painting is great, probably brought them good luck!
That is one fine handsome raven, Claire!!
Excellent Raven, Claire. I love how you added the blues ..beautifully done.
Outstanding
Love the look of this raven painting. The beak is amazing as well as his/her eye. Well done Claire.
Thanks, Pattie! I am not a really big sorts fan, but got caught up in this one, so I will be hanging in there until the end!
Thanks, Sandy!
I hope so, Nan. I am going to make sure it is next to the TV for the Superbowl...just in case!
Thank you, Sherry. It's hard to tell, but his feathers have a LOT of purple in them :)
Thanks so much, Hilda - there's some Raven Purple in those feathers too!!!
Thanks so very much, Prabha!
Thank you, Sue. Love your newest cardinal painting!
Thank you, Nancy! We're two thirds of the way there!!!!
There must be something I missed about the football but I do recognize a great bird when I see one.
Love your raven Claire - he has a very smug look on his face! Also really liked your winter scene from the other day too.
His little eyes are so alive! Beautiful work!
