'Sugar Shaker'
Leslie Saeta's Thirty Paintings in Thirty Days Challenge
Day Twenty Nine
Oil on Panel
6 x 6

Can it really be Day 29 of the challenge? Only one more to go!
This has been hectic and fun, but above everything
I have truly enjoyed seeing the amazing work that has
been produced by the participating artists.
I am really fond of this sugar shaker. The lid is a
beautiful copper color and has holes in the domed top.
Thought I'd add a few sugar cubes just to add some
interest. For some reason, when I was young I thought
you were very rich if you used sugar cubes...
All of my paintings for this Challenge will be done in a 6 x 6 format,
and my main goal while painting from life
is to LOOSEN UP and USE MORE PAINT...
something which will only benefit my work.

I felt the same way about sugar cubes when I was young, course they were more expensive to buy that way if I remember right. I have never seen a sugar shaker. That is beautiful. Your ellipses are so perfectly painted. The color is magical and that box - always like seeing it.
This is absolutely beautiful, Clarie.
The glass sugar bowl is wonderful..especially with those speckled color in it..As far as the sugar cubes..OMG...it brought back memories when I was a young girl living home...I didn't know they still existed!! LOL
Another amazing piece. I'm in awe of how you do what you do in this small format!
You have a way with glass! I love this sugar shaker too. Vintage items are so much fun :)
So Lovely!!!
The metal, glass and wood all in one composition, so well done!
I've never seen a sugar shaker before but I sure think this is beautiful, Claire!! You have captured that copper lid perfectly!
I've never heard of a sugar shaker, Claire. You have shown us some really neat still life pieces in your paintings. Well done.
