This Bartlett pear has been such a wonderful model,
but as lunch time approaches, this will become
the scene of its demise... I did enjoy the fact that
the red of the blush from the pear was reflected in the tip
of my bird's beak paring knife...

All of my paintings for this Challenge will be done in a 6 x 6 format,
and my main goal while painting from life
is to LOOSEN UP and USE MORE PAINT...
something which will only benefit my work.

I really like the winter piece below, Claire. It is so beautiful! And the knife is just amazing with its evident expertise in its painting.

Oh Claire - I like this one - it so fits the title..with that red face and the reflection in that perfectly painted paring knife. Very clever! You have gleaned a lot of mileage from your local pears. They are so handsome!

I love the rich colors of the pear. I especially love how they are reflected in the knife. The knife is painted so well that looks very sharp!

Thank you Pattie - the nice thing is that the pears can be eaten when I am done with them!
