This is my sixth entry for Leslie Saeta's 'Thirty Paintings in
Thirty Days Challenge 2015'. For this challenge, I have
decided to do thirty small studies from my trip last September
to Martha's Vineyard. My hope is that some of these studies
will be worked into larger paintings.
This is a view of the Chappaquiddick marshes at low tide.
It is early fall, and the colors of the grasses are changing
and the water shimmers, enhancing the view.

Beautiful painting, Claire and I love the lighthouse!!!!
You manage to squeeze so much into such a small format. Lovely work!
Lovely to see these studies. I go to Cuttyhunk every September on an artist retreat and love how the landscape beckons to be painted.
You're doing so well with the challenge, Claire. Beautiful work!! Martha's Vineyard was a wonderful choice...
