FIRST BLUSH
100 Paintings in 100 Days Challenge
'Inspirations from a Back Yard'
10/100

'First Blush'
Oil 6 x 8
10/100

Day 10 (a milestone in my challenge!!!)

This painting is dedicated to my two little
granddaughters, Madeline Claire and
Stephanie Grace, who love all things
pink, and who also have a great fondness
for Tinkerbelle.

I planted this pale pink 'Tinkerbelle' lilac
in my yard this year for them, and also
for myself since I love Tinkerbelle,
and I also love the color pink!

If you would like to see more of my work,
please visit my website or my blog.

Claire, Nice job! Nicely detailed lilacs! Don't you love the smell of them? I wish they would bloom longer.

Hello Claire, I am so enjoying your 100/100 challenge, but have fallen behind with blogging, just wanted you to know I am envious of your hard work and dedication. This lilac painting is wonderful and I love that you planted it for your granddaughters, very special indeed.

I so love lilacs myself! Beautiful and lacey construction Claire. You've captured their delicate beauty so that I can almost smell their scent! Delicious!

Thanks so much for your encouraging comments everyone! I had a sunny weekend, so a lot of time was spent working in my garden to get beds weeded and new flowers planted. Still lots of work to do, but I am back to my painting today!
