'Black-Eyed Susan'
Oil 4 x 4
34/100
Day 34
Another summer garden standard - the
black-eyed susan. It's always a surprize to
see where they are going to pop up because
they re-seed themselves so freely each year.
My grandson has loved these flowers
since he was very little, so I have a feeling
this one is going to be confiscated.

This is a simple but beautiful piece, the dark background really shows off the sunshine yellow of the bloom.
Your beautiful, back yard flower paintings make me want to start seeding them in our yard. Can't wait to see these collectively exhibited...all 100.
Thank you, Diana and Pat.
Love this one, Clair. That dark background brings all of the colors out beautifully. Love the way the red sings around the yellow.
This is one beautiful piece, Claire! It is perfect in its simplicity and its deep rich background highlights the blossom exquisitely!
Love the yellows and violets together.
