LAVENDER BLUE

Day 29

One of the prettiest scents in my garden,
I can never just walk by the lavender without
touching the flowers to get that scent on my
hands. Lavender was always present in the
gardens of my mother and my grandmother, so
the tradition lives on.

This one is great. I love all the values of violet against the greens.

Thank you for your comments, Barbara and Pam.

Perhaps it's the lavender so close in the foreground that gives this little painting a big painting feeling. Very, very nice, Claire!

Beautiful, Claire. I, too, love the variety of violet hues against that dark background.

Gorgeous, Claire. I must admit, I too am drawn to the lavender. So pretty and it smells divine!

this is just the most beautiful blue, I can almost smell the perfume from here. We have lavender flowering at the mo in our garden too, it's one of those flowers that is irresistable to walk past without pausing to inhale it's glorious scent. Lovely painting, well done...
