'Inspirations from a Back Yard'

Oil 4 x 4

Day 33

Since I am currently inundated with zucchinis and
summer squash, I decided to do a close-up of the
beautifully curved neck of this yellow summer squash.
I was fascinated by the stem end, which in itself
reminded me of a miniature yellow pumpkin.
(I love the way the purple makes the yellows
come forward - hence the title!)

I see there's a big difference in growing seasons. We don't have any zucchini or squash, yet!
