FOURTH OF JULY SAIL
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Fourth of July Sail'
Oil 12 x 16

Another painting from my trip down to North Carolina
this past fourth of July. We were waiting for the water
ferry to return us from Shackleford Island back to
Beaufort when I spotted this sailboat cruising between
the islands. I really enjoyed seeing the American flag waving
so proudly from the back of the sailboat.
(Note: Those seagulls in my previous post 'Gull Talk' were
directly to my right!)

Boy! I just want to be on this beautiful boat on this even more beautiful day! And might I add that the painting is even more beautiful?

Thank you! We had such a nice visit with our family in NC, and each painting I have done as a result of that trip brings back so many wonderful memories.
