HEADING HOME
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Heading Home'
Oil 9 x 12

On the last night of our visit with our family in North
Carolina, I was sitting on the dock at my cousin's house
watching the play of color on the water and coastline
as the sun started to set.
I had my camera, and was hoping to capture some of
this amazing color when this little boat chugged in and
caught the last bright rays of the sun. As soon as I
saw the light hit the boat, I knew this was going to be
something I would want to paint.

Just is just one exquisite piece, Claire. The colors are magical, the moon superb. I can almost see and feel the air and the sea here...
