Day 36

I was so happy to find this beautiful, ripe heirloom tomato
when I went out to the vegetable garden this morning.
This particular variety is called 'Mortgage Lifter', and
is up there as one of my favorites. It reminds me so much
of the tomatoes my mom grew when I was a child.

It was very difficult not to slice it up and have it for
lunch today, but since I was painting from life I had
to exert a little patience. Tonight this tomato is going
to be the star at our supper table!

mmm.. looks delicious, I had my first tomato today from plants I am growing in pots, not as big examples as yours though. Super painting as always.

It is that time of year. Great job on painting it.

Hum, je me serais bien invitée à votre table ce soir...! cette tomate me paraît tellement belle et parfumée, je peux la sentir d'ici. Et je suppose qu'en la cueillant vos doigts étaient très parfumés. Belle et généreuse peinture. Bises
